Graduation Plans

Your high school graduation plan is developed in order to give you a “map” or guide to all the items that need to be completed in order to meet the Texas graduation requirements so you can graduate from high school. Here are the items all students need to complete according to the state of Texas:

  • 26 credits (1 semester class = 0.5 credits) – see list of course requirements below
  • Take and pass 5 STAAR End of Course (EOC) Exams: English I, English II, Algebra I, Biology & US History
  • CPR Instruction (completed during senior year)
  • Peace Officer Interaction Instruction (completed during senior year)
  • FAFSA Application (completed during senior year)

Performance Acknowledgements

  • All students may earn performance acknowledgements for earning a nationally or internationally recognized business or industry certification or license.
  • Students are also awarded for outstanding performance in a dual credit course(s); bilingualism and biliteracy, and college-ready scores on AP, IB, PSAT, ACT-Plan, SAT or ACT exams.

A student may earn an endorsement by successfully completing:

  • Curriculum requirements for the endorsement (Foundation High School Program and the required series of courses)
  • A total of four credits in mathematics
  • A total of four credits in science
  • Two additional elective credits

WHICH EOC TESTS DO I STILL NEED TO PASS TO GRADUATE?

  • In addition to meeting the graduation credit requirements, students must also pass 5 state End of Course Exams – English I, English II, Biology, Algebra 1 & US History.
  • Students can view their EOC scores here – https://bit.ly/CheckEOCs.
  • You will need your 10-digit TSDS ID number in order to access your scores.
  • If any of the five required tests either don’t appear in the testing portal OR they say “Did Not Meet” or “Not Tested”, you will know that you still have to pass that particular test.

How is Grade Level Classification Determined?

Grade level classification is determined based on the number of credits a student has completed as follows:

0 – 5.5 Credits Completed
6 – 11.5 Credits Completed
12 – 17.5 Credits Completed
18+ Credits Completed

How Do I View My TVAh graduation plan?

  • Log in to K12 School (OLS) with your user name and password

  • Click TVAH Naviance Student Access

  • Select the Student icon on the Naviance page

  • Select Continue to log in to Naviance.

    • You will automatically be logged in with your credentials if you log in to K12 School (OLS) first.
      If you are not automatically logged in please use your K12 credentials to sign in.
  • Select Courses from the top menu then select Manage Course Plan
